  17. <p>    Stop the music! Newly clean and sober, Ringo Starr went to
  18. court last week to block the release of recordings he made last
  19. year while under the influence of booze. The former Beatle, who
  20. recently underwent rehabilitation for alcohol abuse and is now
  21. on a 30-city tour, calls the tapes embarrassing "second-rate"
  22. stuff, not up to his standards. The producer of the disputed
  23. cuts, says Ringo, passed out tequila during the session,
  24. creating a "degenerative atmosphere" where too much time was
  25. spent "in activities other than recording."
